Università Cattolica reports increase in student enrollments
Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore has reported a 3.4% increase in total new enrollments for the 2026/2027 academic year, reaching 12,236 students compared to 11,834 the previous year. This growth is distributed across its five campuses in Milan, Brescia, Piacenza, Cremona, and Rome.
The Milan campus remains the university's central hub, recording 8,826 new students, a 2.1% increase. Growth in Milan was particularly driven by undergraduate programs, including Law, Psychology, Economics, and Political Sciences. Internationalization is a notable trend, with foreign students making up 7% of total new enrollments across all campuses, with specific peaks of 10% in undergraduate and 5% in graduate programs.
The Cremona campus saw significant specialized growth, particularly in the Faculty of Agricultural, Food, and Environmental Sciences, which experienced a 76.9% surge in undergraduate enrollments. Rector Elena Beccalli attributed the positive trend to the quality of educational offerings and a focus on student relations.
