Università del Salento reports 28.8% increase in new enrollments

The University of Salento has reported a 28.8% increase in new student enrollments compared to the same period last year. As of September 14, the university recorded 1,757 new students for undergraduate and single-cycle master's degree programs, up from 1,364 during the same timeframe in 2025.

While the data is considered partial because selection procedures for certain programmed access courses are still ongoing, the university has already reached 33.1% of its total definitive enrollments from the previous year, compared to 25.9% at the same date in 2025.

The university’s 2026-2027 academic offerings are focused on innovation and internationalization. Notable figures include 709 enrollments in the filter semester for Medicine and Surgery, Nursing, and Midwifery programs, with 492 students selecting the university as their first choice.
