Università Magna Graecia wins two awards at D³4Health Hackathon
The Università Magna Graecia (UMG) of Catanzaro secured two victories at the second edition of the D³4Health Summer School & Hackathon held in Paestum from September 24 to 26. The event brought together researchers, doctoral students, and professionals from across Italy to address challenges in digital healthcare.
The winning project “Oncoria,” mentored by Professor Alessia Sarica, focuses on the integrated management of oncological therapy. It features a digital system designed to optimize drug administration through a dedicated interface for local pharmacies and a personalized application for patients to track their treatment schedules.
The second winning project, “HelpSasà,” developed a data platform for neuroscience research. This infrastructure centralizes data management within research centers, handling everything from advanced imaging data processing to the integration of clinical and cognitive patient information. The project featured significant contributions from doctoral student Chiara Camastra, highlighting the university’s doctoral program in “Digital Technologies Applied to Medicine,” coordinated by Professor Donatella Paolino.
