Università Mediterranea to launch tender for new campus
Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria is preparing to launch a tender for construction works on its new university campus. The project has received 4 million euros in funding and follows the university's acquisition of a real estate complex from the Monfortani fathers last July.
University Rector Giuseppe Zimbalatti stated that the tender process is expected to begin shortly after the summer. The development is part of a strategic effort to improve student services and strengthen the institution's local presence. This expansion comes amid significant growth for the university, which has seen a 35% increase in freshman enrollment over the last two years.
Additionally, the university has seen improvements in recent Censis rankings, rising three positions in the classification of state universities with up to 10,000 students. Key drivers for this improvement include facilities, scholarships, employability, and internationalization services.
