Universitario de Deportes celebrates 102nd anniversary with U Fest as team draws 1-1 at home

The Peruvian football club Universitario de Deportes marked its 102nd anniversary with a large‑scale U Fest held on 8 August at the newly built Arena Monumental inside the club’s stadium in Ate. The event featured a lineup of national rock and tropical acts, a Hall of Fame exhibition, merchandising zones and interactive activations for fans.

On the same day the club’s senior side played a Copa Federación Oro match at home against Sport Boys, ending in a 1‑1 draw after Brando Fernández scored for Universitario. The result left supporters worried about the team’s performance in the competition.
