Universitario de Deportes prepares for Juan Pablo II match amid injury concerns

Universitario de Deportes is preparing to host Juan Pablo II for matchday 13 of the Torneo Clausura at the Estadio Monumental. Head coach Fabián Bustos has named a 20-man squad, which includes the return of Bryan Reyna, though some reports suggest his inclusion remains uncertain due to competition for starting positions.

The team faces a setback with defender Matías Di Benedetto, who was expected to return from a muscular injury but experienced renewed physical discomfort during training. As a preventive measure, the technical staff has excluded him from the squad for the upcoming match.

In other news, the club's Sub-18 team secured a 5-2 victory against Carlos A. Mannucci in the Liga Nacional Juvenil, keeping them in contention for the title. Additionally, the first-team squad, including players like Gianluca Lapadula and Aldo Corzo, recently attended a traditional mass at the Santuario de las Nazarenas in honor of the Lord of Miracles.
