Universitario de Deportes reports 140 million soles in annual revenue
Franco Velazco, the provisional administrator of Universitario de Deportes, has presented a financial report detailing a significant increase in club revenue. For the period between July 2025 and August 2026, the club reported ingresos exceeding 140 million soles, compared to 124 million soles in 2024.
Key revenue drivers include ticket sales (27%), sponsorships (24%), and television rights (19%). Velazco noted that sponsorships grew by 24% and the 'Noche Crema 2026' event achieved a 26% return on investment. Additionally, the club's YouTube channel generated nearly one million soles, and revenues for the women's and volleyball teams increased by 180% and 48%, respectively.
Regarding debt, Velazco addressed the outstanding obligation to the construction company Gremco. He stated that due to an ongoing judicial dispute, payments to Gremco are projected to begin from 2035 onwards, following a ten-year period intended to resolve the legal controversy. The administration emphasized that the club is following a 'Plan de Viabilidad' (Viability Plan) initiated in March 2025 to ensure long-term economic stability and has already regularized 6.4 million soles in debts.
