Universitario of Peru pursues Argentine striker Lucas Alario
Peruvian club Universitario, led by Argentine coach Héctor Cúper, has shown interest in signing forward Lucas Alario from Argentine side Estudiantes. The club submitted an offer, but finalising the deal depends on meeting Alario’s financial demands. Alario, who scored twice in the recent Trofeo de Campeones final, has stated he intends to remain at Estudiantes and fulfill his contract that runs until December.
Universitario’s recruitment drive also lists other forwards such as Gianluca Lapadula and Raúl Ruidíaz, while Alario currently competes for a place in the attack alongside Guido Carrillo and Adolfo Gaich under manager Alexander Medina.
