Universitas Islam Negeri Ar‑Raniry publishes theses on Nizar Qabbani poetry and Aceh alcohol law enforcement

The repository of Universitas Islam Negeri Ar‑Raniry in Banda Aceh has added two academic theses. One examines the meaning of love in Nizar Qabbani’s poem “Ilā Ḥabībatī fī Ra’si as‑Sanah” using semiotic analysis, highlighting how symbols of time, nature, and the body convey an enduring, personal conception of love. The other investigates the role of the Wilayatul Hisbah in enforcing the prohibition of alcoholic drinks (tuak) in the Deleng Pokhkisen district of Aceh Tenggara, finding that limited patrols, budget constraints, and low public awareness hinder effective enforcement.

These works contribute to literary studies and to the understanding of Sharia‑based legal enforcement in Aceh, respectively.
