Universitas PGRI Semarang students lead community service and hypertension education in Semarang

On 3 August 2026, students of the Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) program from Universitas PGRI Semarang (UPGRIS) joined residents of RW 08 Kwarasan in Wujil, Semarang, to paint roads, clean the neighbourhood and install Indonesian flags and banners in preparation for the 81st Independence Day celebration.

Two days earlier, on 1 August 2026, the same KKN group organised a hypertension‑prevention programme (BUGAR) for Posyandu cadres in Bergas Lor, Semarang. The event featured a professional‑led health exercise, distribution of soy‑milk and banana snacks, and interactive education on the causes, risks and lifestyle measures to prevent hypertension.

Both activities aimed to strengthen community ties, promote public health and foster a spirit of togetherness ahead of national celebrations.
