Universitas Samudra launches STEAM competition and student orientation

Universitas Samudra (Unsam) has launched several academic initiatives for the 2026 period. The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP UNSAM) is hosting a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) competition from September 1–3, 2026. Themed “Building a Disaster-Resilient Generation through STEAM Innovation,” the event encourages students from elementary to high school levels to develop creative solutions for disaster management, a critical focus given the regional risks in Aceh and Indonesia.

Additionally, Unsam officially commenced its 2026 New Student Campus Life Introduction (PKKMB) on August 31, 2026. The opening ceremony, led by Senate Chair Dr. Muhammad Amin and Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Hamdani, welcomed 2,607 new students. The program aims to introduce the higher education system and foster character, integrity, and academic ethics among the incoming student body.
