Universitatea Cluj eliminated from UEFA Conference League by Brann

Romanian side Universitatea Cluj were knocked out of the UEFA Conference League after a 3-1 defeat to Norwegian club Brann in the second-leg match on July 30. The aggregate score ended 5-3 in Brann's favour, ending Cluj's European campaign for the season.

Coach Cristiano Bergodi, speaking after the match, said he would not single out goalkeeper Michail for blame, noting that “mistakes happen on the field” and that the team as a whole was responsible for the loss. He praised the overall performance in the first half but acknowledged that the early goal conceded affected the squad’s morale.
