Universitatea Cluj signs Portuguese midfielder Pedro Pinho

FC Universitatea Cluj confirmed the signing of 26‑year‑old Portuguese defensive midfielder Pedro Pinho as part of a recent wave of player acquisitions. Club president Radu Constantea said the team aims to complete its roster before the squad reunion on 16 June and a training camp in Austria starting 19 June. The club has already brought in several players, including Friday Adams, Florent Poulolo and Marius Ștefănescu, to strengthen the squad for the upcoming season.

Pinho, a product of FC Porto’s academy, previously played for GD Chaves in Portugal’s second division and amassed 65 appearances over two seasons, scoring six goals. Transfermarkt values him at €850 000. The midfielder signed a contract with Universitatea Cluj, joining the Romanian SuperLiga side as it prepares for European competition preliminaries.
