Universiti Malaysia Terengganu welcomes triplets among new students

During the registration of 2,546 new students for the 2026/2027 academic session at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), several sets of siblings drew attention for enrolling simultaneously.

Among the notable groups are triplets from Selangor—Nur Fatihah Nazaruddin, Nur Insyirah Nazaruddin, and Nur Aqilah Nazaruddin—who have all chosen to pursue a Bachelor of Science (Applied Mathematics) with Honours. The sisters noted that studying together facilitates family logistics and allows them to remain close after being together since primary school.

Additionally, three brothers from Alor Setar, Kedah—Muhammad Alif Fahmi Arshad, Muhammad Amin Taqiuddin Arshad, and Muhammad Iqbal Izzuddin Arsyad—also registered at the university. They expressed that studying at the same institution provides mutual support and reduces travel and registration costs for their family.
