Universities host cultural festivals in Bolivia and Mexico

The Technical University of Oruro (UTO) held its XXIV University Cultural Folkloric Parade, featuring 68 groups performing traditional dances such as morenadas, diabladas, tinkus, caporales, llameradas, and tobas. The event, which moved through the streets of Oruro, included delegations from seven faculties as well as invited institutes and universities. To manage the event, authorities implemented a 36-hour dry law and deployed over 500 police officers, though some alcohol-related infractions were reported.

In Mexico, the Autonomous University of Campeche (UACAM) conducted its Fifth University Intercultural Fair under the theme ‘Mexico: games, rhythms, and traditions.’ The fair utilized stands to showcase the customs and characteristics of various Mexican states and featured traditional games like balero, trompo, and escalera. The initiative aimed to promote identity and preserve cultural values among the student body.
