Universities implement new campus facilities and student amenities
The University of Georgia (UGA) has introduced several new and updated facilities to enhance the student experience. The recently opened Dining, Learning, and Well-being Center on the west side of campus includes the Hillside Dining Commons and provides various medical and wellness services. Additionally, Building 2266 on Lumpkin Street has opened as a first-year residence hall featuring community kitchens and study lounges. The Tate Student Center has also undergone summer upgrades, including an expansion of the Student Food Pantry to assist students facing food insecurity.
Similarly, the University of Santo Tomas (UST) has inaugurated multiple new facilities for academic and practical training. These include a new cabin simulator for the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management to assist in aviation career training, and a new Fitness and Sports Management Laboratory for the Institute of Physical Education and Athletics. Further technological and academic improvements include a renovated Internet Section at the Miguel de Benavides Library with 60 new computer units, and a new learning commons established by the College of Information and Computing Sciences.
