Universities in Cádiz announce academic milestones and digital plans

The National University of Distance Education (UNED) in Cádiz held a ceremony at the Palacio Provincial to mark the start of the 2026-2027 academic year. The event recognized 215 new graduates, highlighting the institution's role in providing accessible and flexible higher education to diverse student profiles. The ceremony included an inaugural lecture by Milagros Alzaga regarding the historical and patrimonial value of the Cádiz province.

Separately, the University of Cádiz (UCA) has released its Digital Transformation Plan for the 2026-2030 period. This strategic roadmap aims to modernize the institution by integrating technology into teaching, research, and administration. Key objectives include improving educational competitiveness through online models and micro-credentials, promoting open science and artificial intelligence in research, and increasing operational efficiency through electronic administration and data governance.
