Universities in Central-Western Mexico strengthen cultural management collaboration

Representatives from higher education institutions in Mexico's Central-Western region met in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, to strengthen collaboration in university cultural management and planning for the 2026-2027 period.

The meeting, organized by the ANUIES Cultural Affairs Network, took place during the Universiada Cervantina hosted by the University of Guanajuato. Participants focused on exchanging experiences, identifying common challenges, and exploring new possibilities for cultural extension and university outreach.

The program included a workshop on cultural project methodologies led by Elisa Tofoní from the University of Caen Normandie, France, as well as the opening of the “Luz & escena” exhibition by artist Genaro Valerio. The session aimed to develop tools for the sustainability and impact of university-led cultural initiatives.
