Universities in Mexico and Costa Rica launch teacher training programs

Educational institutions in Mexico and Costa Rica are conducting specialized training programs to update teaching methodologies and integrate new technologies into the classroom.

In Mexico, the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT) is launching an itinerant pedagogical journey led by international specialist Sergio Tobón Tobón. The program, titled ‘Trilogía Magistral: Evaluación de los Aprendizajes y la Socioformación’, aims to move beyond traditional teaching by focusing on socioformation and collaborative evaluation. The training will take place between September 23 and 25, 2026, across the university's southern, central, and northern zones, including Tampico, Ciudad Victoria, and Reynosa.

In Costa Rica, the Universidad Latina (ULatina) held its 10th annual Teacher Conference on September 5, 2026. The event focused on ‘new ways of teaching’ through themes such as educational technology and neuroscience. Presentations included insights from D2L Corporation regarding digital teaching tools and expert sessions on the neuroscience of learning to help educators create more memorable classroom experiences.
