Universities in Pará celebrate major graduation cycles
Higher education institutions in the state of Pará, Brazil, have concluded significant graduation cycles, marking a milestone for regional professional development.
In Marituba, the Universidade do Estado do Pará (UEPA) celebrated its first class of Pedagogy graduates produced within the municipality. A total of 61 new professionals, including 37 in Pedagogy and 24 in Libras Letters, completed their degrees through the Forma Pará program. This initiative, a partnership between the State Government and the Marituba Municipal Government, allowed students to pursue higher education locally, reducing the need for travel to other cities.
Simultaneously, the Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará (Ufopa) graduated over 360 professionals across six municipalities in western Pará: Santarém, Monte Alegre, Trairão, Óbidos, Juruti, and Oriximiná. The ceremonies included graduates in fields such as Aquaculture Engineering, Pedagogy, History, Agronomy, and Geography. Several of these graduations, particularly in Trairão and Óbidos, were the first to be offered through the Forma Pará program in those specific locations.
