Universities in Tanzania and Somaliland expand international academic partnerships

The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) has announced a call for applications for one-semester student exchange opportunities. Through its Directorate of Internationalization, Convocation and Advancement (DICA), students can apply to study at partner universities located in Europe, Asia, and South America. These opportunities provide a tuition fee waiver only; students remain responsible for all other costs, including travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses.

Separately, the University of Hargeisa is expanding its international presence through the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Programme. Academic leaders from the university recently conducted a mobility visit to the University of Granada in Spain. Discussions focused on strengthening collaborations in civil engineering, research, and peacebuilding, specifically through the Department of Structural Mechanics and Hydraulic Engineering and the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies.
