Universities launch educational programs for children and families
Universities in Mexico and Chile are implementing programs aimed at supporting childhood development and family engagement.
The Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) in Mexico is hosting its 27th edition of the 'Universidad Infantil'. The project allows children to experience university life through campus visits, classes with professors, and interaction with students. Organized by Jorge Alberto Ramírez, the program aims to stimulate early interest in academic vocations and provide a close contact with future professional possibilities.
In Chile, the Universidad de Talca has launched the 'Escuela para Familias', a series of 10 free workshops running from October 3 to December 12. Directed by Andrea Cerda González, the initiative provides parents and caregivers with practical tools for child rearing and stimulation. Topics include autism inclusion, language stimulation, emotional regulation, first aid, and nutrition, designed to support the cognitive and social development of children aged 5 to 12.
