Universities release annual campus safety and security reports

Quinnipiac University and Swarthmore College have released their annual security and fire safety reports, as required by the Clery Act. These documents provide statistical breakdowns of campus crime, disciplinary actions, and safety policies.

Quinnipiac University reported a continuous decrease in crime across various categories for the 2025 calendar year. The report noted zero reported offenses related to the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act (VAWA) and no reported stalking incidents. Additionally, there were no arrests or referrals for illegal weapons possession, drug law violations, or liquor law violations.

Swarthmore College’s report for 2025 showed a significant decline in alcohol-related disciplinary referrals, dropping to 41 cases from a 435% spike in 2024. Drug law violation referrals also decreased to 12 cases. Officials noted that previous spikes were often linked to specific large-scale incidents rather than broad shifts in student behavior.
