University Autónoma de Coahuila expands global network to 55 international agreements

The Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila (UAdeC) has increased its portfolio of international cooperation to 55 active agreements with 50 universities, institutes and organizations across 14 countries, rising from 34 agreements at the end of 2024. The expansion includes partnerships in the United States, China, Argentina, Spain and others, and features a new pact with the U.S. Department of State to operate the American Space Coahuila, a center that promotes English language learning, innovation, entrepreneurship, science, technology and cultural exchange.

UAdeC’s rector, Octavio Pimentel Martínez, says the growing network aims to broaden student and faculty mobility, joint research projects, academic exchange and collaborative innovation. Around 78 % of the agreements are cooperation frameworks that support mobility programs, joint scientific research, continuous education and other collaborative actions, enhancing the university’s international presence and offering more opportunities for its community.
