University Clinic in Skopje treats Kočani fire victims

The University Clinic for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Skopje has initiated specialized consultations and complex surgical procedures for patients injured in the tragic fire in Kočani.

Under the initiative of Clinic Director Prim. Dr. Jasmina Gjorgjievska Pavllovska, expert plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Igor Malkovic conducted a visit to perform detailed examinations. The medical team established individualized, multi-stage treatment plans for each patient, focusing on functional recovery and potential future surgical interventions.

In addition to the consultations, a complex reconstructive operation was successfully performed on one of the most severely injured patients. The procedure was a collaborative effort involving a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, specialists, and anesthesiology staff. The clinic emphasized that the long-term care and reconstruction of burn victims remains a top priority.
