University Clinical Center of WUM receives health accreditation
The Polish Ministry of Health has awarded an accreditation certificate to the University Clinical Center of the Medical University of Warsaw (UCK WUM). The certification, presented by Minister Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda, confirms that the institution meets specific standards for quality and safety in hospital treatment.
The accreditation covers three facilities within the center: the Central Clinical Hospital, the Józef Polikarp Brudziński Children's Clinical Hospital, and the Infant Jesus Clinical Hospital. The certification was granted following a verification of medical procedures, diagnostics, and management standards and is valid for three years.
Director Marzena Kowalczyk noted that the facility operates 1,915 beds. In 2025, the center recorded over 152,000 hospitalizations and performed more than 37,000 surgical procedures. The accreditation serves as both a validation of existing processes and a guide for future improvements.
