University Clinical Center Tuzla invests 4.65 million KM in new radiotherapy equipment

The University Clinical Center (UKC) Tuzla has signed a contract for the procurement of a second linear accelerator to enhance radiotherapy services. The investment is valued at 4,654,000 KM excluding VAT.

The agreement covers the procurement, delivery, installation, and commissioning of the device, with a delivery deadline set for 150 days. The new equipment is designed to be fully compatible with the center's existing linear accelerator.

Director Šekib Umihanić stated that this acquisition is one of the institution's most significant capital projects. He noted that the addition of this sophisticated medical device aims to provide patients with access to modern radiotherapy treatments and help reduce waiting lists by allowing for faster patient redirection and response.
