University Clinical Hospital No. 1 PUM completes oncology investments
University Clinical Hospital No. 1 PUM in Szczecin has completed three major investments aimed at establishing a comprehensive oncology model. These developments cover the entire patient care spectrum, from advanced diagnostics and surgical treatment to immunotherapy, systemic treatment, radiotherapy, and follow-up care.
The investments include the expansion of the Clinical Department of Oncology, Chemotherapy, and Immunotherapy of Neoplasms, which now features 21 chemotherapy stations, a modern hospitalization area, a vascular access laboratory, and a 35-bed patient hotel. This phase cost approximately 73 million PLN, with over 71 million PLN provided by the Ministry of Health.
A second investment, funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, cost nearly 90 million PLN and established a new Clinical Department of Radiotherapy, including Teleradiotherapy and Brachytherapy units. This facility is equipped for modern online adaptive radiotherapy.
The third component is a new PET-CT laboratory within the Nuclear Medicine Department, utilizing the digital PET/TK Omni Legend system to provide advanced diagnostics for both pediatric and adult oncology patients.
