University developments in Soriano and Entre Ríos

The University of the Republic (Udelar) held meetings in Soriano to discuss expanding its presence in the Southwest Region, which includes Soriano and Colonia. Discussions with local officials focused on relocating the Soriano campus to a facility with better conditions for academic activities. Officials are also analyzing the implementation of economic support for students, noting that over 60% of the local student body works 40 hours per week, creating challenges for academic continuity.

In Argentina, the Autonomous University of Entre Ríos (UADER) held elections to renew its superior councilors. Student representatives from the Concepción del Uruguay campus traveled to Paraná to participate in the electoral process. Following the presentation of single lists, the Electoral Board formally proclaimed the candidates who will represent the student body in university governance.
