University Hospital Martin expands pediatric mental health services

University Hospital Martin has launched a new day psychiatric ward dedicated to children and young people to treat anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders. The facility has undergone complete renovation, adding community rooms, a relaxation zone with a sensory box, and a rest area.

Supported by partners, the hospital has also acquired modern psychodiagnostic and testing kits to improve early detection and treatment precision. Additionally, a therapeutic garden has been established in collaboration with the Volkswagen Slovakia Foundation and the Matka a dieťa Turca civic association. This garden provides safe zones for community seating and group therapy, allowing patients to process difficulties outside of hospital rooms.
