University initiatives launched in Chile's O’Higgins and Puerto Montt regions

The University of O’Higgins (UOH) has expanded its ‘Eco-escuela UOH’ project into an itinerant environmental education initiative. Originally created to address the misuse of recycling points at the Rancagua Campus, the project now travels to various schools across the O’Higgins region to conduct environmental workshops and activities. The initiative received applications from over 40 educational establishments and is also extending its reach to the Colchagua Campus through collaboration with the Environmental Engineering Student Center.

In Puerto Montt, the Universidad Austral de Chile (UACh) officially launched its 2027 Admission Campaign. The campaign aims to connect future students with the southern territory of Chile, highlighting the university's academic offerings. UACh currently provides 66 undergraduate programs across its Valdivia and Puerto Montt campuses, with new programs in Social Work and Marine Biology set to be introduced.
