University leadership and structural reforms progress in Colombia and Argentina

The Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas in Colombia is advancing the implementation of its new General Statute, approved on May 5, 2025. In Argentina, the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (UNCuyo) has confirmed its new leadership cabinet for the 2026-2030 term. Adriana García will assume the role of rector alongside Ana Sisti as vice-rector. The newly appointed cabinet includes Adolfo Omar Cueto as General Secretary, Nicolás Sanfilippo leading the Economic, Financial, and Services Secretariat, and Gastón Burlot heading the Secretariat of Research, Postgraduate Studies, and International Affairs. The administration plans to focus on digital modernization, student welfare, and closer ties with local industry.
