UNSJ signs agreements to expand clinical training and improve student housing in San Juan

The Universidad Nacional de San Juan (UNSJ) signed two separate agreements aimed at strengthening student support and practical training. In the first, the university’s School of Health Sciences signed a complementary act with the Centro Integral de Medicina de Alta Complejidad (CIMAC). The pact allows fourth‑year nursing and obstetrics students to carry out clinical practice in high‑complexity areas such as nephrology, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. The agreement was signed by UNSJ rector Ing. Tadeo Berenguer, EUCS director Lic. Ángel Pinto and CIMAC president Dr. Cayetano Berenguer, with the university planning to start the activities in the second semester of the academic year.

A second act was signed between UNSJ and the municipal government of San Juan, represented by Mayor Dr. Matías Espejo and university welfare secretary Lic. Florencia Niyen Ficcardi. The document commits the municipality to upgrade the university residence – improving safety, furnishing, internet access and basic equipment – while UNSJ will provide academic and administrative support, tutoring and guidance to resident students.

Both agreements aim to enhance the academic, professional and human development of UNSJ’s student body by providing better practical training facilities and living conditions.
