University of Adelaide expands Bachelor of Music offerings in Classical Performance and Music Theatre

The University of Adelaide’s Elder Conservatorium of Music has introduced a Bachelor of Music majoring in Classical Performance. The program provides one‑on‑one tuition, ensemble work and masterclasses across a range of classical instruments and voice, covering technical skill, musicology and professional standards to prepare graduates for careers as performing musicians.

In parallel, the Conservatorium offers a Bachelor of Music Theatre that trains multi‑disciplined performers in singing, dancing and acting. Students receive intensive weekly studio instruction, industry‑focused workshops and collaborative experience through partnerships with the State Theatre Company South Australia, Adelaide Festival and other local arts organisations. Both programmes aim to develop professional‑ready artists equipped for national and international stages.
