University of Alicante hosts 21st UA Welcome Week

The University of Alicante is hosting its 21st edition of UA Welcome Days on September 16 and 17, 2026, to mark the beginning of the new academic year. The event includes a variety of activities, such as a special broadcast by Radio Alicante, food offerings including paella, and a welcome concert featuring the Murcian duo RATA and the band Pértiga.

Additionally, the university has announced several sports-related initiatives. Registration is open for the UA Leagues and for athlete selection trials for the 2026/27 season, which includes teams competing in the Regional University Sports Championship (CADU) and the Spanish University Championships (CEU). The university also noted that an orange weather emergency led to the suspension of outdoor sports activities on September 9.
