University of Almería receives cancer research grant

The University of Almería (UAL) has announced the recipient of the IV Predoctoral Grant awarded by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC). The grant, exceeding 132,000 euros, is intended to fund a doctoral thesis focused on improving radiotherapy and fighting cancer.

Beneficiary Nelson García Román will conduct the research under the direction of professors Ester Martín Garzón and Juana López Redondo from the Supercomputing and Algorithms Group. The project aims to deliver results with significant social impact for oncology patients.
