University of Andorra opens doctoral program applications

The International Doctoral School of the University of Andorra (UdA) is opening a new pre-registration period for its Doctorate program. The application window begins on September 1 and will remain open until November 1.

Selected candidates can begin their studies in February 2027, coinciding with the start of the second semester of the 2026-2027 academic year. The program, which aligns with the European Higher Education Area, aims to train researchers through original doctoral theses. Full-time studies typically last between three and five years.

In line with the university’s strategic plan, the program seeks to increase the number of doctoral students to boost research activity and social impact within Andorra. Priority research areas include economics, education, law, language, and health. The university also noted that details regarding an industrial doctorate modality will be released soon.
