University of Belgrade officials dismissed by Serbian government
The Serbian government has dismissed several high-ranking academics and officials associated with the University of Belgrade. Among those removed from their positions are Professor Nebojša Bojović, formerly the president of a specific body, and Vladan Đokić, who served on the Governing Board of the Institute for Architecture and Urbanism of Serbia.
Additionally, Professor Dejan Filipović has been removed from his role as acting president of the Governing Board of the Spatial Planning and Urbanism Agency of the Republic of Serbia. These dismissals were carried out without provided explanations. Observers suggest these moves may represent an ongoing confrontation between the current administration and the academic community.
