Lega to hold extraordinary federal congress in Milan

The Lega political party has confirmed that its extraordinary federal congress will take place on October 24 and 25, 2026, at the Allianz MiCo in Milan. Announced by Secretary Matteo Salvini, the event is expected to begin on Saturday afternoon and conclude on Sunday afternoon.

The congress serves as a critical moment for the party to redefine its political and organizational lines within the evolving Italian center-right landscape. While the specific agenda has not been fully released, discussions are expected to cover themes such as federalism, regional autonomy, and migration policies.

In other regional news, the University of Calabria (UniCal) is expanding its cultural services by opening its libraries and museums to the public on weekends starting October 10. Additionally, the Macerata Bar Association has launched ‘Orizzonti della giustizia’, a new quarterly magazine designed to foster dialogue between lawyers, the judiciary, and academia.
