University of Calabria launches support plan for international students

The University of Calabria (Unical) has approved a three-year integrated plan to improve the reception and support of its international student population, which currently includes approximately 1,000 foreign students.

Presided over by Rector Gianluigi Geco, the Board of Directors reviewed a proposal to establish a structured service dedicated to orientation and assistance. The plan focuses on three main areas: individual orientation and logistical support (including housing and bureaucratic assistance), linguistic and intercultural activities (such as Italian language courses and local guided tours), and mediation for specific individual needs.

The initiative will be managed by the Residential Center Directorate to provide continuous support from the moment students arrive on campus.
