University of Calabria to host international clown theater workshop

The University of Calabria (Unical) will host a high-level theatrical training workshop titled ‘Il Clown’ from October 12 to 18 at the TAU – Teatro Auditorium Unical. The event is organized by the ConimieiOcchi Collective in collaboration with Margarete Assmuth.

The workshop will be led by Merry Conway, an American theater and movement instructor with international experience. The program focuses on the ‘poetics of failure,’ teaching participants to view setbacks as spaces for expression and possibility rather than limitations. The session will include 18 artists and performing arts instructors from various countries, including Japan, the United States, and several European nations.
