Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha announces student aid and sports initiatives

The Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) has announced a financial aid program for the 2026/2027 academic year to support undergraduate students facing economic hardship. With an initial budget of 250,000 euros, the university is offering grants of up to 2,500 euros per student. Eligible circumstances include unemployment, sudden illness, accidents, or the death or disability of a primary family provider. Applications must be submitted by October 30.

Separately, UCLM and the Universidad de Extremadura (UEx) have joined the European Week of Sport (SED) 2026. This European Commission initiative, running from September 23 to 30 under the slogan ‘#BeActive’, aims to combat sedentary lifestyles. UCLM is hosting various free activities, including masterclasses, sports introductory sessions, and tournaments across its campuses in Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Toledo, and Talavera de la Reina.
