University of Catania launches free energy advisory desk

The University of Catania is launching the ‘Sportello Energia’ (Energy Desk) on October 1. This new information hub will provide free strategic guidance to citizens and businesses regarding energy transition and the responsible use of energy.

Part of the university’s ‘Third Mission’ initiative, the project aims to apply scientific and technical expertise to benefit the local territory. The desk will serve as a reference point for individuals, production entities, and industrial plants, offering guidance on optimal energy system management and mapping available public funding and sector-specific incentives.

Professor Rosario Lanzafame, an expert in Energy and Environmental Systems and the university's delegate for energy, has been appointed to lead the initiative. The service will be hosted at Palazzo dell’Etna in via San Nullo 5 and will be operational every Thursday from 15:00 to 18:00.
