University of Coimbra strengthens cooperation with Mozambique

A delegation from the University of Coimbra conducted a working visit to Mozambique from August 19 to 21 to strengthen institutional cooperation. The mission focused on expanding student, faculty, and staff exchanges, as well as deepening research projects with various Mozambican partners.

During the visit, a Cooperation Agreement was signed with Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) to renew the institutional link between the two higher education institutions. Meetings were also held with directors from UEM’s Informatics Center, the School of Sports Sciences, and the faculties of Science and Engineering.

Additionally, the visit included participation in the Joaquim Chissano Prize ceremony, organized by the Portugal-Mozambique Chamber of Commerce. The award for Mozambican Alumni Students in Portugal was presented to Professor Lourenço do Rosário for his work in African Literatures of the Portuguese Language.
