University of Colima academic receives Social Work Merit Recognition

Dr. Susana Preciado Jiménez, General Coordinator of Teaching at the University of Colima, received the 2026 Merit Recognition in Social Work within the Teaching and Research category. The award ceremony was organized by the Colegio de Trabajo Social del Estado de Colima ‘Margarita Septién Rul’, A. C., in coordination with the University of Colima Alumni Federation (FEUC) and the Faculty of Social Work Alumni Association.

Preciado Jiménez was honored alongside Lidia Guadalupe Navarro Moctezuma, recognized for Professional Intervention in Traditional Areas, and Paola Michel Torres Suárez, recognized for Novel Social Work. All three honorees are graduates of the University of Colima. During her speech, Preciado Jiménez emphasized that professional trajectories are not built in isolation and highlighted the importance of practicing social work with knowledge, sensitivity, ethics, and commitment to society.
