University of Colima announces 86th anniversary celebrations

The University of Colima (UdeC) has announced a program of 12 activities to celebrate its 86th anniversary. The festivities, which run from September through November, are designed to impact teaching, research, and cultural extension across various municipalities in the state rather than being limited to the central campus.

Key events include the 17th International Colloquium on Gender, starting September 17, featuring participants from countries including Cuba, Spain, Brazil, and several nations in South and Central America. Additionally, the university will present the Lázaro Cárdenas Medal to El Colegio Nacional on September 18, with expected attendance from member Leonardo López Luján. Other scheduled activities include the 'Territorio Loro, Territorio de Paz' event in Tecomán on September 23.
