University of Colima completes internal audit of 22 processes

The University of Colima has concluded its 2026 Internal Audit of its Integrated Management System (SGI). The audit evaluated 22 institutional processes covered under the ISO 9001:2015 certification scope.

Lead auditor José Domingo Anguiano Santana reported 36 findings, consisting of 26 non-conformities and 10 opportunities for improvement. These results are intended to correct deviations and strengthen institutional operations ahead of the scheduled recertification in February 2027. The review, coordinated by the Institutional Quality Directorate, assessed compliance, implementation, and system effectiveness, including risk management and quality policy comprehension.

Three specific processes completed the evaluation with no recorded non-conformities or opportunities for improvement: editorial production, continuing education services, and the design and development of information technology-based educational solutions. Audited units have 10 business days to analyze the results and register action plans via the system platform for subsequent validation by the audit team.
