University of Colima program recognized for gender equality efforts
The Reflection Program on Masculinities for Gender Equality and Non-Violence (PREM) at the University of Colima has been recognized as a national best practice in Mexico. The program, which is part of the Faculty of Psychology, was one of only 16 selected from 150 entries submitted by higher education institutions across the country.
The distinction was awarded during the XVI National Meeting of RENIES-Igualdad held in Monterrey, Nuevo León. The selection process was conducted by an international scientific evaluation committee featuring specialists from Mexico, Chile, Argentina, and Spain.
To receive this recognition from the National Observatory for Gender Equality in Higher Education (ONIGIES), programs must demonstrate solid methodologies that address gender inequality, provide evidence of results, and show potential for replication within other institutional contexts.
