University of Colima students present political science research

Students from the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences at the University of Colima presented three research projects at the XIV International Congress of Political Science, organized by the Mexican Association of Political Science (AMECIP). The event took place from September 22 to 25 at the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes.

The research focused on how changes in state government and political alternation affect public financial decisions. Specifically, Karol Yoselin Alcaraz García investigated budget distribution, Emilio Reyes Lomas analyzed public investment capacity, and César Said González Santos examined the link between government changes, federal resource dependency, and state debt.

The students were academically supervised by professor Edgar Alfredo Nande Vázquez. The congress served as a platform for students, faculty, and researchers to discuss democracy, public policy, and political systems.
