University of Colima to present cultural management model in Mexico City
The University of Colima (UdeC) will present its Lazos. Diálogos de Innovación Cultural program at the II Ibero-American Meeting of Good Practices in Arts and Culture Management, +Arte +Cultura. The event is scheduled to take place from October 26 to 28 in Mexico City.
The meeting will bring together 64 initiatives recognized for their practices in arts and culture management. Representing UdeC, Edelmira Marchán Iniestra and Israel Vargas Oropeza will participate in the conversation titled “Gestión cultural desde el territorio” on October 26, focusing on community cultural management.
The Lazos program aims to create dialogue between the university and local communities, strengthening local capacities and developing projects based on resident participation. The model seeks to link academic, cultural, and extension capabilities with the specific knowledge and needs of various communities, fostering local production and collective solutions.
